Go / No-Go Checks: A Free Printable PASS or FAIL Tool

Not every check on the line needs a calculator and a judgement call. A good Go / No-Go check gives the operator a clear PASS or FAIL. My free tool does the comparison against your limits and gives you a printable sheet.
What the Go / No-Go (Printable) Does
You enter your measured value and the limits, and the tool tells you instantly whether it passes. You can also print the limits so they are in front of the operator at the point of use.
The value of the approach is that it removes interpretation. A reading is inside the limits or it is not, and the operator does not have to decide.
How to Use It
- Open Go / No-Go (Printable) on the free resources page.
- Enter the lower and upper limits.
- Enter the measured value to get a PASS or FAIL.
- Print the limits and display them at the check point.
Where It Helps Beyond Certification
Printed limits at the point of use are a quiet win for consistency. They cut down on operators working from memory and they make your checks easy to train. New starters can follow them on day one.
They also help in disputes. A clear, dated limit and a recorded reading is evidence of what was checked and what the decision was.
Where Sites Get Caught Out
A FAIL that nobody acts on is worse than no check at all. Make sure the sheet says what to do next: who to tell, what to do with the product and where to record it.
